Day 343 | The King of Stamford Hill

I had had the remaining days of this year-long tribute all planned out, then I came across this song, which I had never heard before and was too good to leave out. It is more a Reeves Gabrels song than a Bowie song, but I think it is their first recorded collaboration, pre-dating Tin Machine and their decade or so long partnership. I’ve read that one of the other voices on this song is that of Gary Oldman. Album: Sacred Squall of Now (Reeves Gabrels)

Note from 2019:  Reeves Gabrels actually responded to this when it was originally posted on Facebook.  It was Gary Oldman!  I have subsequently tracked down the album, saw Gabrels in concert, purchased another of his albums and have come to appreciate him as a McCain in his own right.
