Day 307 | I’m Deranged

This is another song that feels right for this week.  As with an unusual number of other songs from Outside, it also appears on a soundtrack (to the movie, Lost Highway).  Also as with many of the songs on Outside, it sets an uneasy, creepy feel that pervades the album (perhaps diminished by the segues and the inexplicable inclusion of ‘”Strangers When We Meet” as the album’s closing track).  Anyway, if this hideous week has a soundtrack, this song belongs on it.  Now, that said, I’m not sure it is one of the top 10 best  Bowie songs for this week.  I’ve already posted most of those, but here they are again: (1) This Is Not America; (2) I’m Afraid of Americans; (3) Saviour Machine; (4) Big Brother (and really, most of the Diamond Dogs album); (5) Scream Like a Baby; (6) Under the God; (7) Panic In Detroit; (8) Candidate; (9) The Voyeur of  Utter Destruction (As Beauty); (10)   Fashion.  Album: Outside
