Day 296 | Shadow Man

The one actual unreleased Bowie album that’s hanging around out there is called, Toy. Bowie made the album in 2000, mostly in the form of updated versions of some of his early songs. A few new songs ultimately made it into Heathen, which turned out to be a much better album. I have heard Toy and have long thought that the problem is that no matter how good the production, the old songs were really not great. This is an example-not terrible, but not the kind of song I’m listening to over and over. To me it’s about homeless people or some other type of social pariahs, a subject Bowie would address better, later. Album: Toy
