Exclusive interview with Earl Slick Coming Saturday!

In my upcoming interview with Earl Slick, we explore how several of Bowie’s most beloved songs would have been significantly different without the guitarist’s contributions—beyond just his playing. Earl and I discuss his role in creating the distinctive opening of “Golden Years,” as performed in this video at the Glastonbury Festival in 2000 (and originally featured on Station to Station). We also discuss Earl’s recently released a new memoir, Guitar, which I read and think is great, and much more.

It was a thrill to speak with someone who wasn’t just “in the room where it happened,” but was a core participant in shaping the music I’ve listened to most often. As I told him, I’ve been hearing his guitar almost every day for the past 35 years.

Join me Saturday for this exclusive interview with a true rock ‘n’ roll legend—you won’t want to miss it!
