Madam Tussaud’s London wax museum launched a “Music Festival Experience” earlier this year featuring a new wax figure of Bowie as Ziggy. Attached are two photos— it looks pretty lifelike to me. In a press release (click to link to the release), the museum indicated that its artists worked with the Bowie estate and used information from his 1983 sitting, so I guess he sat for a, what would you call it? Portraiture? In 1983.

Not unlike Ziggy, the figure apparently went on tour, including making an appearance on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo, formally known as the Hammersmith Odeon theater, the site of Bowie’s (supposed) last concert as Ziggy and where the concert featured in Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture took place. Hopefully, the flood lights weren’t too hot!
