Ten Guest Appearances by Bowie

OK, this is a bit of a knock-off post. I am working on a more in-depth post that, well, I just didn’t finish. What follows was actually an outline of what I intended to flesh out more, later. But, it actually does what I promised it would do in the title— lists out ten songs on which Bowie appeared as a guest. None of these songs appeared on Bowie albums, and as a result some are quite obscure (though as of this writing, “Isn’t it Evening” is currently on the UK Charts). Indeed, Bowie’s participation is not always obvious. For instance, if you didn’t know that was his voice on “Fannin Street,” you probably wouldn’t have picked up on it at all (I mean, maybe, but I’d be impressed).

So, to make this slightly more interesting, I included links to the songs on YouTube, which you can get to by clicking on the song tiles (except for “The Cynic,” the video for which I’ve embedded in this post because it includes an animated Bowie). Though this is a list of ten, it is in no particular order and there are far more than ten songs of others on which Bowie appears:
