Lucky Blue’s GQ Bowie Shoot

GQ published this spread of model Lucky Blue Smith in December 2015. Smith, who I only know of from this photo shoot, does look like Bowie. Little could the folks at GQ know that Bowie was about to die. GQ has long recognized Bowie as a fashion innovator. In a broader sense, his status as a fashion icon was part of his larger approach to presenting the world with more than music alone.
