Did you ever wonder if “Warszawa” was supposed to be on Blackstar?

This is a video of Donny McCaslin and the Metropole Orkest (I’m just going to assume a German orchestra) covering “Warszawa.” “Warszawa” is one of Bowie’s instrumentals from Low. McCaslin was Bowie’s major collaborator for his final album, “Blackstar,” and you can hear it in his distinctive sax playing. McCaslin included a version of this on his 2016 album, Beyond Now. Not much more to say, but its an interesting juxtaposition of time and space.

Actually, there is one more thing to say, which is that while I did comment on Beyond Now when I first heard it, I didn’t write very much about it and in fact might have just wrote from the preview I used as the video…so I should revisit that album in the near future…
