I remember when this 20 minute mini movie, really a short film framing a video, debuted on MTV in the mid-80s. I had not yet entered my full Bowie fandom, but it was an event that I wanted to experience. There’s not much else I know like it, maybe Michael Jackson’s Thriller video. Yet another innovation.
