Day 323 | Shining Star

This otherwise unremarkable song is noteworthy because it features a rap by…Mickey Rourke. (Also, it is yet another “star” song—doubtlessly the most often used noun in Bowie song titles).  Bowie fans are not supposed to like this song, but, while I don’t listen to it much, it sticks in my mind in a not-unpleasant way.  Like many songs from this album, on its own it isn’t bad.  Not what makes Bowie great, but not bad.  Album: Never let Me Down
