Day 278 | Song for Bob Dylan

How can I have not posted this one yet? In any case, on the occasion of Dylan being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, this song is a much earlier tribute. Can Bowie be next? Some of Bowie’s late-60’s and early 70’s music was obviously influenced by Dylan, and this song is an acknowledgment of that. I wonder how many people who heard this song in 1971 years ago would have guessed that 45 years later the world would be mourning Bowie and celebrating Dylan with what might be the highest possible honors (or how much more both would have contributed in the time since this song).
