Day 364 | Rock ‘N Roll Suicide

Bowie sure knew how to end an album.  Most of his final songs could not have been placed anywhere else but the end (for a truly disjointed experience, try listening to the Diamond Dogs album on shuffle).  Of all the ending, this is the standout.  My CD edition of Ziggy contains several bonus tracks that follow, but they detract as much from the album as The Godfather Part 3 detracts from the finality of Michael having his own brother murdered at the end of Part 2. I mean, what else is there left to say.  For this reason, this is the obvious song to end my year-long Bowie tribute: the ultimate ending, to the artist’s most beloved album.
