Day 250 | Michael C. Hall Performs Lazrus

Bowie’s video for “Lazrus,” which was his final video, was one of the first I featured in this tribute.  It is one of the standout songs from the Blackstar album, which nearly ten months after its release still seems like an enduring masterpiece.  Michael C. Hall had been performing the song before Bowie’s album in the off Broadway production of the play of the same name.  Release of the original cast recording, which will include some previously unreleased songs performed by Bowie, was announced over the past week and Hall performed the title track at the Mercury Prize award show.   This is that performance, which is wonderful.  Album: Lazrus Original Cast Album.
