Day 237 | A New Career In Town

My main attraction to Bowie’s music is his voice, followed by his melodies and lyrics.  Like most other singers of his level, he was usually accompanied by excellent instrumentalists.  So what would be impressive for anyone else was almost an afterthought for Bowie—he could play just about any instrument.  He played guitar, piano, sax and on this one he busts out a harmonica solo. This video clip is from the Heathen tour (with a bonus performance of “Ashes to Ashes” following “A New Career in Town”)—which I was surprised to learn was the first time Bowie included this song on his live performance playlist.
