Day 111 | Bowie on Saturday Night Live.

Here is a clip of Bowie in 1979 performing The Man Who Sold the World, TVC15 and Boys Keep Swinging on SNL. Although I have posted two of these three songs before, and have been saving TVC15, I wanted to share this clip both because Bowie’s innovation is on high display here (consider that the special effects for Boys Keep Swinging were showing on live TV) and because, you know, its Saturday.

Note from 2018: Annoyingly, I cannot find a link to a video of Bowie’s entire, three-song performance. I posted a link to such a video in 2016 and in fact had one up for a day or two here, but the video was disabled shortly thereafter. So this video is of Bowie performing one of the three songs— The Man Who Sold the World.
