Day 105 | Cracked Actor.

In honor of the 400th anniversary of the death of Britain’s second greatest artist, William Shakespeare, here is Bowie’s most Shakespearian performance.  At one point, Bowie held the record for highest pay per song for a performance- I think he got $2 million to perform a few songs at the US Festival in the 1980s.  This was one of the songs he performed.  Although this is a great song, I remember wondering why he chose it at the time- it wasn’t one of his hits and it was at least a decade old then.  I think he was commenting on the excess of the entertainment industry even as he participated in it.
