Who is Tom Winarski? I don’t know, you don’t know, but here is his very nice cover of “Lazarus.” What’s more outstanding than the very credible job he does of performing the song, is the even more impressive art he contains for the visual portion of the video. Inspired by some of the images in Bowie’s own video (more from “Blackstar” than “Lazarus”), I think the overall project reflects the kind of care and effort a presumed fan like Winarski employs to mine Bowie’s music for personal meaning.
